The Papa water powered pump is capable of transporting in excess of 4000 gallons ( 18,000 litres ) of water per day from a flowing stream or river, using ONLY the energy of the flowing source. It can deliver water to a level of 30x the head of the supply.
Papa water powered pump technology has been developed over the past 5 years in Cornwall, UK and has been tested in many parts of the world.
The pump is manufactured from quality stainless steel and bronze to offer a lifetime performance. Weighing in at only 6kg, the pump contains only two moving parts ( the rubber ' valve' rings ), making function and maintenance a simple matter. Installation is usually straightforward and can be achieved by most individuals on a DIY basis following the instructions in the installation, adjustment and maintenance
The Papa water-powered pump uses a totally new pumping concept, requiring only to be installed in a moving column of water to operate. NO external power source is required.
The moving column of water can either be contained in an open channel or river, or it can be contained within a pipe.
It is the energy contained in the moving column of water and the patented means of harnessing this energy to amplify the pressure many times over, which creates the pumping power. If there is no water flowing, then there is no pumping power and the pump will not operate.
The Papa water-powered pump will lift a percentage of the flow rate in the moving column of water to a height dependent upon the energy available in the column of water, ie if the column of water in a pipe attached to the supply of the pump has a 3m head and it is required to deliver water to a height of 31m, the amount of water delivered by the pump is 6% of the flow rate flowing past the pump.
If that flow rate is measured at 50 litres/minute, then 6% of 50 litres/minute is lifted to 31m. The output from the pump is fully adjustable - see the
